The C.A.B. Cooperativa
was founded in Umbria in June 1968 with the need of little local haulage companies
to concentrate themselves in a structure with the goal to guarantee the
members better economic and legal conditions.
Initially composed of 14 members another cooperative and a local syndicate
were integrated in 1988, this way obtaining a considerable fleet of -
among other vehicles - 250 containers OPEN TOP 30'.
Since 1985 it is dealing also with waste disposal to the various approved
disposal sites, developing over the years the particular licence for this
type of transport and finally 1998 achieving the registration to the national
commercial register (Albo Nazionale delle Imprese) that it is realizing
the management of waste disposal for the Region of Umbria.
Being ahead of it's
time when establishing itself as a cooperative of several haulage companies
in 1968 to obtain a better competitiveness on the national transport market,
likewise looking ahead in 1980 relying 90% of its transports to containerisation.
To be able to participate in a market, where most of all quality is a
demanded service, 1995 the company considered it suitable to achieve the
certification according to UNI EN ISO 9002 for "l'erogazione di servizi
di autotrasporto c/terzi".
1998 it took over
the management of the Terminal Ferroviario di Foligno, PG (Italian railway
terminal in Foligno, PG), concentrating in the centre of Umbria a container
traffic of about 200 units daily, with direction in all the parts of the
world via a weekly connection to the most important Iitalian harbours.

For its future the C.A.B. Cooperativa aims as first goal to a further
development of intermodal systems as the only opportunity in an always
more competitive market - always keeping an eye on the efficiency of transports
and the respect of the nature.
